Skanska sells SVT's drama center for SEK 275 million
Skanska is selling SVT's (Swedish Television) newly constructed building in Stockholm to AP Fastigheter for SEK 275 million.
The transaction is part of Skanska's strategic focus on project development - developing projects that are tailored to the needs of customers. Completed properties are sold to provide scope for new projects.
The project is also an example of Skanska's efforts to cooperate with customers and end-users at an early stage of a project. The building has been developed and construction implemented in close cooperation with SVT Drama and AP Fastigheter. The premises have been custom-designed to suit the specific needs of SVT Drama and SVT Mobilteknik (Mobile Technology). The 25,000 m2 property includes such facilities as TV studios.
The first phase of the project, consisting of 18,000 m2 of floor space, is leased to SVT Drama. An additional 7,000 m2, half of which has already been leased to the IT company Sendit, will be ready for occupancy during the autumn. Leasing work is under way regarding the remaining floor space.
