Renovation of state road No. 9 between Tarnowska Wola and Nowa Dęba.
State road No. 9 is one of the main transportation routes in eastern Poland, connecting Radom with Tarnobrzeg, Rzeszów and Polish-Slovakian border crossing in Barwinek. Skanska renovated the pavement of 3.5 km section between Tarnowska Wola and Nowa Dęba. The contract was financed almost entirely by the European Investment Bank.
Benefits for the community
A key element of the project was to rebuild the intersection of state road No. 6 with: local roads in Nowa Dęba. The intersection was dangerous for pedestrians and drivers due to heavy traffic and difficult entrance from city roads. New intersection helped slow down transit traffic on the state road and ensured smooth entrance from side roads, including ambulances from a hospital nearby.
